18 Months Update

So when do people stop counting their child's age in months.....how about never? Will that make her sound so not grown up. For the time being I'm going to stick with 18 months because a year and a half is just too much for this mom. Often I think about how if she could just take a nice little nap of the fifty million things I could rush around and get done. The other morning I had showered, laundry & dishes caught up, everything ready for me to go to work, a few other odds/ends done and still she slept. After about 15 minutes I was honestly bored. It sounds silly to say but I really was. I love being in the kitchen and hearing the bedroom door open.....then the sound of two little feet come down the hallway. Then the sweetest sound-Mom, Mom, Mom.

I feel like this month is really when Lainey has started talking more and more. Her little vocabulary is so funny to listen to her say. Still loves saying NO to every question you ask her. Her yes consists of only the sssss sound. One day she pointed to a picture on our fridge and said Roxy. That was pretty darn neat to see and hear. She also did that with an apple and hat. We are really working on Grandma, nana, granny, me maw.... anything but she usually just smiles with no response. She also used to say Mo for our dog Ammo but now says the whole word. Seriously could not be any cuter!

Currently Favorites Include
-Jumping (on everything) but especially in her crib
-$$$ This girl is obsessed with money. She goes to the counter where our change container is and says Monaayyy. Its like she has an accent when saying it.
-The night light in her room has to be on constantly. Doesn't matter how many times I turn off, she always goes back and flips on.
-Opening interior doors especially the pantry door.
(We are in big trouble now!)
-Playing with her babies
-As always loves being outside & her books
-Running around with phone or really any electronic device and holding up in air saying cheese. Essentially she is taking lots of fake selfies. I never do this so I'm going to say Grandma taught her this!

Trying out her new rain boots!
(surprisingly they are light up-which was very exciting when I realized it)

Banana Lover!

Little missy moo has 12 teeth now. Weighing a whooping 21 lbs 6 oz and standing 32". At the last drs visit they measured her standing up instead of laying down. Talk about an aha moment. After having a cough and runny nose for a month, it was time for a visit to the Dr. Other than well visits we have not had to go for any other appointments. I am so thankful each and every day for the good health my sweet baby has. We have been lucky she got my ears and not her daddy's. He often had ear infections as a child. Cross our fingers she hasn't had one yet. We did have the first splinter in the foot. Daddy to the rescue with a needle while I held her down. You just never know what each day is going to bring. Some days are frustrating, many are exhausting, but all of them are worth it for this sweet angel face.

My two babies!!
