Belly Week 21

Belly Week 21
I kinda feel like after last week this post is going to be pretty boring so lots of pics to spice it up. I had  my monthly appointment with the midwife. Very fast and quick. Easy pregnancy = Easy appt. My weight gain so far is 13 lbs. and blood pressure was good. She also listened to the heartbeat on top of my belly. I had a little time to kill before heading to work so I checked out the resale store "Just Kiddin Around". Their is a lot of nice stuff in there. It could be a dangerous thing bc now I will stop and look at all the clothes often. Bought a few items for my sweet niece Roxy and for my little pomegranate. (That's what week 21 says for size of baby) Everyone has said babies don't even wear shoes but I just had to buy them bc of the cuteness factor.

People are still saying I don't look very pregnant but I can tell when I look straight down at my feet. My belly is definitely changing slowly but surely. Have felt some movement off/on but it still catches me off guard because it's not a regular occurring thing. I have been eating Popsicles like a wild woman. This weeks flavors are jolly rancher ones and bomb pops. Delish!!! The baby has an honorary name now.....Belinda. One random day Rhett said it and then Brooke just started calling her that and it has stuck. That will not really be her name but it is way more fun than just calling her baby. If you are 5 years old and my nephew though her name is frog frog. Either one works for now! Before Roxy was born we all called her Beldar (from cone heads). These Simpson people are craaaaazy! What am I talking about I am one of the crazy ones now too! My Mother recently found the dress my sister & I both wore when we were baptized. For sure my little girl will be wearing it as well. Thanks Mom!!!!

I was 2 1/2 weeks old in this picture.

My sister is racking up some major brownie points as SUPER AUNTIE! She is a bargain shopping fool who is not afraid to spoil her niece already. I can not even put into words how thankful or grateful I am for everything she has done so far and will do in the future. Last year she helped plan my wedding down to the last detail and this year she is helping with everything for the baby. Here is a little look into Belinda's closet so far. I have gotten some clothes at yard sales and from others but I bet over half is from Jaimee. She made the adorable purple tutu with matching bow! Brooke is making a tutu as well. A girl can never have too many tutus!!!! The rest of the closet is a disaster and needs to be cleaned up. I was showing Rhett the hair bows/snowsuit and he was just like "oh geez".

We sold the boat. Yay!! After much consideration, a few opinions, and reading all over 100 online reviews multiple times I purchased the crib & dressers from JCPenny's. Thanks girls for all the suggestions. I am thinking that we will be very pleased with the decision. Rhett helped me with some measuring in the room to check for space. No clue on how long till it arrives but hopefully doesn't take very long. Once the furniture comes I plan to order the bedding and then start on wall decorations. No decisions on picking a name but we still have plenty of time. The other day Rhett said I need to be coming up with more modern names so I don't think he is digging the older ones.......
Two new babies have recently been added to my side of the family. My cousin Jon now has a little guy named Tucker and my cousin Alicia had a little girl named Taliyah. BABIES GALORE!

I'm thinking since my due date is October 30th this could be a must on my picture pose list!
So cute!!!

Boy vs Girl

Belly Week 20

Halfway through this crazy ride!
The week when most normal people find out what the sex of their baby is.
I'm not gonna lie I may have known before week 20 what our little dumpling is but I will just leave it at that and fast foward to the official reveal for each and everyone of you!
Lets see what our friends & family have been thinking all along.......
All my friends thought GIRL & all my family thought BOY.
I have heard people say they have hunches or just had that feeling and knew eactly what they were pregnant with. I never felt extremely positive about it but I just had that tendency towards thinking boy.
First & foremost I have always prayed and hoped for a healthy baby.
In the beginning of my pregnancy I secretly hoped for a girl. I imagined seeing her as a cheerleader just like mom & grandma were. Curly hair with bows & ribbons, cute pink outfits, and make-up. What girl doesn't imagine having a little girl of her own.....When Rhett started to get more excited & into me being pregnant I then began hoping for a boy. I could see him taking the little guy fishing, hunting, farming. Passing on traditions that his Dad passed on to him. These were all just things I thought and imagined in my head.
It did cross my mind that not finding out the sex could be fun and such an awesome surprise at the birth of our child. Seriously though who am I kidding.....no way in the world I could prepare for this child not knowing. I am too much of a control freak to not know ahead of time. Plus since telling our family the little babe already has a hefty pile of the cutest baby clothes in the closet. Thank you Aunt Jaimee for everything you have bought so far. I know you are a huge bargain shopper but still you have gone above & beyond!! My Mom & Allie have hooked us up too!
I am not a creative person at all so I looked on Pinterest for ideas for the gender reveal.
I love to bake so cupcakes just seemed like the way to go for me! Having a party with all of our close family & friends would have been my first choice but also impossible. Summer is such a busy time and so difficult to gather everyone at once. I decided to do some 1 on 1 delivery and Rhett even helped me!

I decided on white with a surprise on the inside! Chocolate icing on top to hide any color that may have snuck up to the top-which happened on most of them. We met Erin, Jake, & Cole at lunch for Tequila's and I brought the cupcakes for desert. It was so so fun to see her bite into that cupcake and then know whether she was going to be getting a niece or nephew. After tequila's we went to the Red Bud hospital and gave Meghan her cupcake. The best part was that Rhett & I were doing this together! She called Jason and put him on speakerphone to share in the fun too. I met up with my Mom and went to Erin's to tell Brooke, Madison, & Margaret. Such fun with each person to see the different reactions! I knew that I would not see my sister for a few days and I just couldn't wait to tell her so Jake helped me call her and reveal the news. I also delivered some to Tracey, Darla, my cousin's softball game, and took the remainder to work. I planned to deliver my 2nd batch to others but managed to burn them to a crisp! Good ol pregnancy brain!

Everything with my ultrasound went well. Baby looks great weighing in at 13 oz @ 20 weeks along. Lots of movement including being able to see the hiccups happening in my belly. The femur measured 21 weeks 2 days so it looks like this child may be tall......Head, abdomen, and femur averaged together measured at 20 weeks 2 days which is right on target. Kinda hoping this shin dig happens on October 31st. How fun would that be to have a birthday on Halloween!
In the last few days I have started to feel more movement which is so exciting! Driving home from work & laying in bed watching t.v. I felt the little wiggle worm. Such an odd sensation to feel inside of you but def awesome!
I know I have been droning on forever and ever..... I'm probably driving you bonkers so drumroll please
(insert your own noise here)
I apologize to anyone in these pictures but you know with me it's fair game once the pic is taken & on my camera!!

It is a little hard to see in some of the pics so just in case you haven't figured it out yet!!!!!

Taxes, Tears, & Trashcans

Belly Week 19

This last week has been just a teeny bit stressful. We recently went through a tax audit for year 2010 for Rhett's taxes. Since we were not married at the time and our taxes were seperate mine had nothing to do with it. My taxes are cut & dry anyway but a farmer's not so much. They say you should keep farm records for 8 years (I think). This was for only 3 years ago and we had to do just a bit of digging and looking for some receipts. If you remember from my new years resolutions one thing listed was be more organized with paperwork. I do have to say every year I get a little better and better. Our stuff is in fairly good order but no means perfect in any way. In a little under a week we got together everything the irs man wanted to review. He was at our house for 6 hours on Friday & 4 hours on Monday. I know Rhett & I were both dreading it but overall it was a lot less painful than we both anticipated. At one point when looking at the income their was a big discrepency not in our favor. The tax man says oh this is bad.....if you can't explain this then we are going to have to open up another year for review. Rhett was almost sweating and me almost crying. I just didn't understand how he came up with such a big difference on the income bc I am extremely good at keeping track of every check we receive. 10 minutes later after he recalculates the numbers....Guess What.....the tax man made a big huge mistake on his calculator. Talk about give a person a heart attack. I think he apologized like 5 times for upsetting us for no reason. I am sure glad for the most part the  process is over. Huge shock we are getting a refund too because of a different discrepency on our return. Yay for us and yay for Baby because the $ will go towards the furniture or diapers or god knows what else the child is going to need! Enough about tax talk.

Have had a few crazy dreams lately but it is difficult to remember all the details once I wake up. I do know one involved lots of cookies which is odd bc I have not been craving the sweets at all.

During church I always feel like I get a little emotional during the petitions. Not sure why but when Father Clyde says we pray for favorable weather for our farmers it always gets me. It might be because when we started going to church again Rhett said the one week it made him feel emotional when our priest said that one. Who knows I am an emotional basket case 24/7 lately so it doesn't take much.  Maybe it was because Father said we pray for all our nurses and anyone who serves our healthcare industry. Boom that's me so it hit me personally. If you are a person that I speak to on a regular basis it's no secret I am a tid bit unhappy at my job. I would love a new one, I feel like I need a different job, I pray for a new one constantly. Regardless of what it was this past Sundy I could feel myself getting a little choked up but I held it in and kept it together. Then the choir starts singing a song and by golly the waterworks started.......I don't even know why I was crying but I couldn't stop. Rhett looks over at me and is thinking what in the world is wrong with you. I have come to realize being pregnant might make you a little CRAZY!!!!! I finally got it together and thank goodness round 2 didn't happen when the choir sang their 2nd song. Please tell me I am not the only one crying in church because of music.....Fess up pregnant ladies and mothers.

I came the closest to throwing up 2 times in the last week that I have the whole pregnancy. Forgot about a lunchbox in my car that had some shrimp in it. After sitting in my car for a few days the smell was pretty rotten. I kept the windows rolled down the whole way home from Sparta. Once I got home I dumped the nastiness into the trashcan then almost puked into it. YUCK!!! I didn't do it but it was very close. I immediately took the trash bag outside but still it stunk up our kitchen so badly. After several hours, lots of febreze and a dishwasher run everything was back to normal. A few days later I was changing a  febreze scented trashbag and after catching a whiff of it I started coughing uncontrollably. Again came so close to throwing up but I didn't. I feel for anyone who is sick during pregnancy bc just being nausous those 2 times was enough for me.

Last but not least!
I had a Norwex party on Monday. It was a lot of fun having people at my house because we never have any parties. Thank you to everyone who came and had a fun evening! Huge thank you to my Mom & sister for helping prepare everything!!!! Lifesavers!!! If anyone is interested in purchasing anything please let me know.

A Little jab!

Belly Week 18
As I currently write this I am actually in my 18th week of pregnancy. Whoo hoo!! Almost half way there. I forgot to mention I felt a little activity on the same day as my dr's appt. After I had just got done telling Sylvia no movement....I was at work just standing there talking to Allie. Talk, Talk, Talk then all of a sudden I stopped mid sentence and I think my mouth dropped open. It was quick and gone in an instant but I know it was the little stink in my belly. Not a flutter or butterlies as everyone keeps saying. It was a distinct jab and it was sooooo soooo exciting! Allie knew what has happening as soon as I stopped talking. She immediately asked did you feel something??? It was def awesome and I can't wait for it to happen again. One exciting thing that has happened lately is we have acquired a boat. My husband sure knows how to surprise me still! Why is having a boat exciting since neither one of us could give a hoot about boating.....because Mr. Daddy to be says we will sell this boat and use the $ towards baby furniture. AMAZING!!! This makes me so excited and happy. Plus the fact that it was his idea to do it makes it that much better. Now don't laugh because this baby could have came right from the set of That 70's Show. It is a 1977 ski boat and in awesome condition. If you are looking for a new ride here ya go!

Hopefully

Since we got quite a bit of rain Rhett was able to take some time to get away for the evening on Friday. We ate out at Olive Garden and it was delish! Then we went and browsed for baby furniture at Babies R Us, JCPennys, & Target. It was a lot of fun just looking and getting ideas. Needless to say Target was a bust and JCP has everything online. We also scoped out the comfy gliders/rockers. When we got ready to walk into Babies R Us I warned Rhett to try and not pass out. He would probably deny this but I think he enjoyed himself just as much as I did!! He kept winding up the mobiles so they would play their music. Here is the lovely pepto bismo chair he thought was extremely comfy. I tried it too and it was very nice. (minus the icky color) I did manage to snap a picture of him trying out a different chair but it is inappropriate because he is flipping off the camera.

A few things that I have recently discovered
-a varicose vein behind my right knee. YUCK
-heartburn= dble YUCK

I have never had heartburn in my life and have to say it can go away right now. I might have gotten it a couple times in earlier weeks but I didn't realize what it was. I finaly got that sno-cone I have been dreaming about but wonder now if it had anything to do with the icky heartburn feeling. I also drank a glass of juice yesterday so not sure what the culprit was. The sno-cone was so worth it though. Looking forward to my 20 week ultrasound which is coming up very soon!
