Baby Shower Gifts!!!!

We received a lot of wonderful gifts at my baby shower. Too many to name all of them but I shall share a few or 10. Haha!!
Here we go!!
Everyone gets blankets at baby showers and mine was no exception. We got 1 crocheted, 1 knitted, 1 quilted, 1 with embroidery, and a few others. They are all wonderful but I have to say Janet you outdid yourself on the quilt. It is soooo sweet and right up our alley on the print. I just love it. The blanket that has embroidery has a nice little story behind it as well. My grandma Phegley embroidered a whole bunch of quilt blocks years ago. She passed away 2 years ago. Recently my aunt had gotten the blocks out and let me choose the set I liked best. My mom & aunt then shopped for fabric and then had it made into a blanket. I knew I was getting it but had not seen the finished product before the shower. It turned out perfect and I can't wait to share the story with our little princess when she is older. A little gift from her great grandmother.

We received the awesome stroller/carseat that was on the registry from the big Simpson Clan!! I think their were 20 names on the card. Thank you to all of you!!!!!! The gift also came with a video monitor which was very exciting.

My wonderful artistic sissy in law Erin made me a wall hanging for baby's room. Love it. When Meg had her baby shower and she got a cute wall hanging I think I did a little hint hint...would love something like that when I get pregnant. So subtle lol.
It's probably hard to see but the painting says (Daddy's little Dear) and it has a pic of baby deer on it. So sweet!!!

adorable bibs I got from Sarah & her mom!!!!!
Thank you so much!! I just love them

This child already has a wardrobe bigger than mine so she is set on clothes for a while. Only one double on outfits so I thought that was good. We also received diapers, bathtubs, boppys, a mobile for crib, baskets filled with goodies, bouncer, baby gate, and the list could go on and on. I think it took like 2 weeks to sort through everything and get it all out of the dining & living room off the couches.

My amazing sister and soon to be auntie!!!!!!!!!!!

Patients at work are now starting to comment on me being pregnant without me telling them. It's crazy to say yep only 5 weeks to go. The time is just flying by so quickly. Often people will say well you sure aren't very big but I def feel big!! I am getting heartburn often. It seems lately that water is the culprit which sucks bc I try and drink a lot of water all the time. Sleeping at night has become a bit of an interesting thing. Rolling over especially from one side to the other is hard to do. I still only get up once a night to pee. Thank goodness for that! I am back to my normal shift at work going in at noon and having mon & fri off. I enjoyed the day shift and all weekends off but kinda glad to go back to my routine. I was thankful last weekend when I worked it was decent. Feeling lots of movement all throughout the day. It used to be mainly at night but now varies off/on all day. Sometimes it feels like she is up in my ribcage and I have a hard time sitting up straight. I have all newborn, 0-3, and 3-6 months clothes washed and put away in drawers/closet. I just have a feeling this little missy is going to be long and is not even going to fit into newborn sleepers. We will see soon enough though!! Trying to pick out an outfit for coming home from the hospital is about impossible. My mom & I narrowed it down to 5 different ones. When I told Rhett he could help pick from the 5 his response was "Who cares what she wears home." Haha!! He may not care now but he will still be helping me decide when the time comes. We are no where near closer to picking a name than we were 2 months ago. My weight gain now is around 28.5 lbs which I feel just fine with. No swelling still so fingers crossed it keeps holding off. My maternity pictures are in a few weeks so just hoping if I get any swelling it waits until after we get them done. Rhett had a diaper party this past Sunday. Thank you to all friends/family that came and spent the day and brought diapers. We appreciate it greatly. I was not home for majority of the party but I think all the guys had a good time and enjoyed themselves. My Mom spent a good 4 hours helping me organize everything from the shower & in the baby room. Thank you thank you!!! I never would've gotten it all done alone.
I am feeling a bit tired so going to go lay down and rest before I am off to work for the day then I have 4 days off!!!! Yay!!!!!

My Baby Shower!

BELLY WEEK 32
First & foremost I want to say a huge THANK YOU to any/everyone who helped prepare for and attend my baby shower. It was amazing in every way possible and just wonderful. Thank you for all the great gifts. Every single one is greatly appreciated. Thank you for coming and eating all the yummy food we had. Thank you for taking time out of your day to come help me celebrate our little girl. My sister completely out did herself with all the decorations. I was teasing her and told her when her time comes for bridal/baby showers I will never ever do as good of job as she has for mine. The chicken salad was yum yum. Thank You Darla for making it!!!! Your the best!
Diaper cake Jme made. I still don't have the heart to take it apart yet because it is so cute!

Table decorations made from diapers!

 Diaper baby Allie made!!

Body scrub we made as take home gifts!

Delicious forest themed food Allie & her Mom made!!
Pine cone cheeseball
 Marshmallow mushrooms

Acorns made from Hershey's kisses, vanilla wafers, and butterscotch chips!

My cake was amazing!! Gordon's cakes from Sparta made it. It not only looked great but tasted great as well. I highly recommend her. All I did was send a picture from pinterest and she changed some of the colors to exactly what I wanted. My niece Brooke also made yummy cupcakes!!!

We played a fun game with music involving songs all with "Baby" in the title. Jaimee was going to play on the computer but it was too loud for anyone to hear so we ended up using the PA system. That was just about the time Rhett arrived and he said it was playing outside on the speakers. He also said Father Clyde was out there dancing but I'm almost positive he was joking. Brooke made a cute tutu for the punch bowl. Thank you my love!!! She is going to be the best cousin ever.
Their was a little basket set up for people to give name suggestions so that was fun afterwards to see what everyone had to say! We still DO NOT have a name so any and all ideas are welcome!
My sister, Mom, Erin, & Meg hung up the cutest clothes on a clothesline as decorations and then I got to keep them. I can not say it enough times everyone is so generous and giving. We truly are blessed and have the best family & friends. Some people only traveled 2 miles and some traveled from very far distances. It is always so fun to have such a wide range of people in one place at the same time. It is not very often that we can all be together at once. Everyone that brought food did such a great job. Especially the salad Meghan made. I literally could've eaten the whole entire bowl!!!!!!

I wanted to get a picture with all my friends & family with babies because we def had a lot in attendance. What a wonderful picture memory to have. Almost all little girls with the exception of a few boys!

I got so many wonderful gifts that will have to be an entirely different post so that's all for now folks!!
Check out all those Hot Mamma's!!!!

Happy Hump Day!

Belly Week 30

All I can say is exhaustion has kicked in 24/7. I am always tired but also never go to sleep early enough. Always so much to do and never enough time. I imagine this will get 10 times worse once our little babe actually makes her debut in the outside world. Week 30 held another very scary moment in our lives. Rhett & his father were in an accident when driving home from their Missouri farm. Another vehicle pulled out right in front of them and caused the wreck. Thankfully they were both ok but tractor, trailer, truck, 4-wheeler, and everything in the bed of truck was ruined. The other man was airlifted from the scene so hoping everything turned out ok for him as well. Talk about 2 wrecks too many in one week. Hopefully all of that bad juju stays away from now on. Washed all the newborn & 0-3 month clothes and organized into drawers/closet. One morning woke up with a horrible stiff neck. Several months ago I had some neck issues and it was just as unpleasant this time around at 7 months as it was at 4 months. After some time and a wonderful massage from Rhett's Aunt Kathleen it improved a great deal. My chiropractor was on vacation so couldn't get in there immediately. Thank You Aunt Kathleen!!!!!!! You are amazing. Lots of people keep saying I still don't look very pregnant. Those who are closest to me say they can tell though. When I am showering and I look down can still see my feet so that's a good sign. I have some nasty spider veins and varicose vein behind my right knee so have been trying to wear compression hose while at work. I am on my feet quite a bit so by the end of the day it looks pretty bad and is sometimes sore. I do not have any swelling so thankful for that. It is a work in progress wearing them. Some days I only make it halfway through before taking off. I do have special glue now to use to help keep them held up and it does work.

Belly Week 31

Rhett hung the curtain rods up in baby room so now we have curtains!!! Yay!! They look so cute. Went shopping for a glider/rocker and that was an adventure. Spent 2 hours trying to decide on what I wanted at babies r us and finally picked one out. Went to check out and just my luck (out of stock) until at least Sept 22nd. I was beyond frustrated and ticked. My patience was just a tad thin at that moment. Thank you mother & sister for putting up with me! We went across the street to Ashley Furniture and literally within 10 minutes had picked out exactly what I wanted. It was even $13 cheaper than what babies r us had and way more comfy. I am looking forward to picking it up Saturday & can't wait to see it in the room.

I also went shopping for maternity clothes. Allie & Avrie were kind enough to join me on that adventure. I sure do have amazing family & friends because shopping with me is not always a picnic. I am quite picky and it takes me 20 minutes to pick out a greeting card so clothes & furniture......use your imagination. We went to motherhood maternity and it was very successful. I got some pants, shirts, dresses and a jacket. Trying to decide which outfit to wear for my shower Sunday will be fun. At first I was getting a little nervous and was about in tears. Eventually things started clicking and I was liking what I tried on. The fun part was that Allie and the young woman working just kept handing stuff into the changing room. It was like they were my personal shoppers. When Allie was pregnant last year and had shopped there the same girl helped her so that was neat. Overall fun experience. Then we went and pigged out at the Bread Co. which was amazing as always!!

I am looking forward to my shower Sunday and can't wait to see friends & family!!!!!
Can't wait to fill you all in on the details.
